I do like this, but I can't say it's perfect, yet.

Don't get me wrong, Josh, this is a good mix of the FFX battle theme, but it... doesn't sound right without Chocosoda's guitars. I understand you had a deadline to meet, but that's what's kinda draining this song of its "oomph" for me. However, I do like to say that this is very well composed, having been done in a strain of time when you had to rush and meet the deadline, then missing it by 8 minutes. Despite the problems with it, this is still very well done.

Hey, why don't you run on by and give my newest J-E-N-O-V-A take a listen? You're not the only one still doing Final Fantasy these days. :D

8/10, 4/5.

I heard it a couple days ago and thought it was awesome, but I didn't have time to write a review! Let me do that in a little bit.

Anyro', I disliked using the soundfont guitars as much as most dislike hearing them. Though it helps that I learned that FL Studio's Hardcore is the equivalent of Logic's Pedalboard, the difference in sound quality between the two effects sets (both of them DSPs masquerading as guitar pedal boards -- small effect chains, basically, for those who don't know) keeps me from liking it. However, if I'd had FL Studio 9 five years ago and discovered Hardcore, I'd have used it at every opportunity.

Thanks for reviewing, Shawn. :)

Very good mix, but still some things about it..

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good remix of the Tetris theme. It's very well done for using one VST, but that's the problem I have with it. You need more of a variety of sounds and sound banks, then it will sound a bit better. Also, and I'm glad you tried to break this, but there's still some more repetition that you need to get rid of. Maybe try mixing the Version B of the song in with it?

Nevertheless, damn good job. 8/10, 4/5

Wow...

This is phenomenal for a first submission!

I like it!

I like this remix, man!

HighwindLegend responds:

Glad to hear it!

Despite not remembering the song itself, I like it

Can't say it gets a full 10 from me, but hey, like drawing, music is not art if it doesn't have flaws. Regardless, I like what you're doing here. Just try not to overwork yourself, lol. It's gotta be hard to do 52 projects over the year.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

Overwork myself? Hell, we didn't work hard enough on this one! xD

Thanks for your review, Shawn. :D

Total... eargasm...

Truly perfected! I can't say it better than that! Truly perfected, over all these years of waiting! I've waited a long day for this day to come, and now... Judgment Day has arrived!

This is a masterpiece, to say the least!

paradiddlesjosh responds:

I might do a "Judgment Day" mix sometime in the future... Hell, I'm thinking of doing a project a week next year on FF7 tunes (minus some of the ones I've already done) or maybe even FF8 tunes.

But yes, I wholeheartedly agree, SSJ! :D

Thanks for your review. :D

I think my brain melted...

First of all, it hurts my ears to hell and back! Second, it's senseless noise, not heavy metal.

Did you do this by ear?

The original is better, I must admit, but I have to say your mix is outstandingly impressive. Did you do this by ear? If you did, I'm very impressed. I like this, because it's faithful to the original, without copying the exact sounds, second for second. I enjoyed it very much. You got yourself a 9/10, 5/5 from me.

Dude..

I seriously envy your skill, man. I don't think I can create anything quite as epic as this. This is just freaking amazing, as are all the others I've reviewed.

Step responds:

Thanks a million man. I really appreciate all of these reviews!

Whoa.

Once again, I am witness to music of epic proportions. This is just absolutely amazing. You're really starting to make me wish I was better. LOL.

Step responds:

Haha don't worry. Your music is awesome.

And I use East/West, so it's not a fair fight :P.

Thanks for the review!
