You and Dan are a goldmine of tracks that I can use for my Xenoverse 2 online fights! Seriously, I've been on the search for badass tracks to use, and I think I can confidently say that I'll be returning often to you guys, because one, I've heard your work years ago, Bad-Man, and your work has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since then (not to say back then was bad, it certainly wasn't), and two, these songs have just the right tone and energy that I need! Hope you don't mind me using it and other tracks!

Before you ask, yes, I do provide links in the descriptions of my videos to the appropriate pages. :D

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

awesome to hear you like it! Definitely more to come! Also PM me, cause i'm more than happy to do custom stuff. :)

Yet another home run from you, Dan! Love the way you work with your music! I think I have yet another track to add to my Xenoverse 2 videos! :D You're fine with that, right?

DanJohansen responds:

Thanks man! Glad you dig it :D I got no problem with you unleashing godly powers and smashing faces in to my music, in fact, I'd love to see a video of it haha, you can record game footage and add the music on top, would be fun as fuck to see haha.

After making my own rearrangement of the song in question, many people have told me of this particular remix, and though it isn't in a style I particularly gravitate towards, I have to admit, this mix is very, very well-made. No wonder it's so popular. Very nice work, mate!

...Now if people would stop referring to it when they talk about mine. I'd rather it not be compared to yours, as they are two wholly different entities, and yours is older and more well-known than mine, and for good reason.

Melodic metal... I'd almost forgotten it exists.

I'm still only part-way through the song, and already I'm wholly impressed. This is definitely fitting for the dawn of a new war, with one lone warrior standing proud as he makes his way into the battle of a lifetime. I would love to use this song at some point for my videos on YouTube. Would that be at all possible?

DanJohansen responds:

Glad you enjoyed it that much! Thanks a ton, you can use the track for your youtube vids if you like, just link to the track and it's all good, have fun!

Okay, this is going to be a review kind of coinciding with some of the others, that being that some of this song feels a little... I don't know, disjointed, maybe? However, this, for me, is not a con. If anything, it's actually kind of unique. Not every song needs to be completely straightforward in terms of beat or tempo or a combination of the two. This song, though it has a bit of an off-beat section in the middle, is actually one of the more phenomenal songs I've heard on Newgrounds as of yet, and I've heard quite a lot that I consider phenomenal. Working through the death of your friend must not have been easy, and it's easy for anyone to start spiraling out of their groove when they're dealing with something as tragic as that. Even then, you managed to pull out something truly amazing here, and I'm highly impressed with what you've done. In fact, you actually kind of make me envious. It was around this time, back in 2014, that I was really starting to feel the bite of my still-ongoing creative block, and even though I'm armed with new toys to play with (sadly, I do everything on the computer as I do not have any good recording set-ups, nor do I practice near enough to be where I want to be), I still can't come up with anything new. I admire your ability to work through such a tragedy to bring us something truly awe-inspiring. I ought to look through your stuff more and see what else you've put out.

Dude, I am totally using this in my XenoVerse fights! All I was doing was searching "metal" on Newgrounds, and then I happened upon this little gem. The balancing is incredible, and it really does have the energy that a fight needs. That's it, I need to hear more from you!

Your voice carries the somber emotion all too well, my friend. This beautiful work of art really brings forth emotions of despair, sorrow, and even a faint glimmer of hope, that things will eventually come back to the light. It's truly a gorgeous arrangement of sounds and atmosphere that you've created in this piece, and I'm more than honored that you've shared it with us.

How in the world have I not come across this yet? Seriously, I'm blown away by the quality of this rendition, not to mention how well put together it is overall! A ballad not meant for metal... was made to fit in the world of metal by your hands. Well. Done. Man. Five stars, for sure!

Holy fucking shit, how did I not come across this before?! This rocks so fucking hard!

I do like how faithful this is to the original theme. As far as a composition, it's done rather well. My only gripe about it is the way the instruments themselves sound, though, that could be just my personal bias. It's a very minor gripe, though. As far as it as a whole, this is done very well. Kudos, my fellow composer. :D

KaiserBeats responds:

Indeed, Fellow Composer! :D
