Bro, what the fuck is up with that title? Made me chuckle more than I should have, it did.

I am way too immature for this site.

ANYWAY, on to the review. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, so as not to talk your head off. Simply put, this has pretty much all of the things a death metal instrumental track should have: tremolos, trills, killer riffs, almost psychopathic drum abuse, breakdowns, wind-ups, blackjack, hookers, all of it. It may be rough, but it's hella tight, man.

God dammit, that name, though... I really am just a teenager at heart.

Metaljonus responds:

Hahaha! The name is just a filler if you know what I mean. I'm a kid at heart too so I do dumb shit to giggle at haha. Thanks for the review and for listening dude! \m/

Hey there! I gotta say I'm rather digging this short piece. It does carry the sense of a rather bittersweet melancholy to it that would fit a lot of things. Would you mind too much if I used this in a YouTube video? I'll be sure to put a link in the description and all of that mcguffin'.

jackbliss responds:

Feel free to use it and thanks very much for your review. If you can share a link to your YouTube video once it's finished I would love to see it :)

Dude, this is a friggin' bop! It's got some nice swing, a funky rhythm, and the sounds mesh together so well. My only complaint is that the short length leaves me wanting more! Keep up the fantastic work!

(Please don't take that last bit seriously, I just wanted to poke some fun, don'thurtme)

AlbeGian responds:

No worries man, I'm glad you liked it!! I did have been thinking on making an extended version of this song, but I end up forgetting the next day xP I don't take note of my stuff sorry, I think I should start doing it

As usual, Waterflame, your stuff is damn good! I love the retro game vibe that this gives off, and the beat flows just quickly enough to get me into the groove, but also not too hard as to put me off. It's got that perfect balance for my tastes.

'Eyy, pretty dope stuff here, mate. Not usually my cuppa, but it actually works quite well with all that goes on. Dope!

Tapestoppa responds:

Late reply but thank you!

Hm... I must say that I'm in agreement with Aakase on how quiet it is, but there's definitely a rhythm to the drumbeats that, although to my ears would be difficult to put instruments to (then again, I've not got the greatest sense of rhythm), definitely come across as you having some fun with it. The beat carried you along, and you let it come through you. I can't say I'd dance to it particularly (then again, I'm a terrible dancer, so that's probably why), but it's still nice to listen to this.

Hey, glad to see you're still alive, man! How've ya been?

As for the track itself, I like how it's essentially a slower-and-yet-somehow-more-foreboding version of the original track. Must be because of the Metroid-esque sounds. Those tracks always did have an ambience of suspense to them. I don't really have much to complain about this mix, other than it could be a taaaaad louder, but that's more of a personal nitpick than it is a proper critical area. I'd love to hear more from you!

MeisterMach5 responds:

It's been a nuts time, not gonna lie! Haven't been able to focus as much on my musical hobbies, but I'm always itching to mess around on FL Studio. The mastering on this track is pretty bad, not gonna lie. It was a struggle to figure out what should be the focus of the track, and I never was able to really settle on one specific thing. Hence why everything sort of blends together, nothing really taking the spotlight (with maybe the exception of the Prime samples). As I'm typing this I'm working on arranging Crimson Dead, with a particular emphasis on my new VST Plugins, so I'm pretty excited for that!

I think I heard this one before it came here, but I am SO glad it's here anyway! This remix goes so goddamn hard, and it really gets the blood pumping! I'm kinda hit and miss when it comes to DnB, but you friggin' nailed it here. I got nothing else to say other than this really gets me going!

There's depression and sorrow in this, yes, but like other reviewers, I can sense an underlying hope, or a desire for things to improve in condition, as if you're awaiting the day that things turn around for the better, whilst being forced to endure the suffering you're in. The emotions come out rather well, and as much as it sucks that it's from a place of sorrow, it's a sorrowful beauty that emanates from this piece.

Troisnyx responds:

You know my circumstances well, Shiverwar. I didn't feel the hope when recording this. I suspect that the hope comes from the subconscious. Or another source outside of me. Or both 🤔

Regardless, it is here and trying to tell me something which you also understand about me — that I should indeed await the turning of the tide.

Thank you for your kindness, both on this track and elsewhere. ❤️
